Meab and Clair are a mother and daughter team who specialise in designing beautiful hand crafted pieces of jewellery. The ancient art of enamelling has been carried out in Ireland for centuries.
Meab and Clair use an 'open fire' method to create each piece. This process means that although color combinations can be similar no two designs are the same. The inspiration for their enamel gift collection comes from celtic folklore and ancient Irish books such as the beautiful and ornate book of Kells.
A gift that is Celtic is more than just a material thing it represents so much more than that. It represents a much deeper fundamental connection to the simple and important things in life. During the ancient Celtic festival of fires, Samhain and Beltaine, the people would extinguish their fires and re light them from the fire of the King. A fire is still lit at Meab Enamels and is used to craft every piece of jewelry and art.
